Wayne Earnshaw - Group Managing Director

Wayne joined Lanes back in 1994 and has shaped Lanes Group into the leading wastewater service provider and the largest privately-owned drainage company in the UK. His focus on building and growing a regional operating centre network, to drive customer service and delivery locally, has been followed by service spread, such as offering CIPP rehabilitation and wastewater services direct to the utility sector as a tier 1 contractor.

After taking over the management of the company in 1997, Wayne has led the business through a phase of significant growth, through both organic and strategic acquisitions. He has overseen the development of a network of utility hubs and specialist operating centres, and delivery of multi-disciplinary services to utility and rail sectors. Prior to becoming Group Managing Director, Wayne was part of the senior management team with responsibilities for sourcing new technology, plant and equipment.

Health, safety and well-being of employees, customers and the wider community are key to the Group’s commitment to operate safely at all times. A ‘top down’ review championed by Wayne in 2013 to this end, resulted in a defined plan for continued improvement on the award-winning health and safety processes already in place.

Wayne was previously a director at British Flowplant Group (formerly Neolith Limited).
