Lanes Group is celebrating after being recognised at the Women in Utilities Awards 2026. Delivered by Utility Week in partnership with the Women's Utilities Network (WUN), the awards recognise the individuals, teams and organisations driving positive change across the UK utilities sector. They celebrate those who are championing inclusion, supporting others and making a lasting impact across the industry.
This year, Lanes was shortlisted in two categories: Women's Network of the Year for our Women at Lanes community and Business Champion (Utility Partner) for our Head of Learning & Development, Laura Maguire.
We are delighted to announce that Laura took home the Business Champion (Utility Partner) award. The award recognises the positive impact she continues to make through learning and development, supporting colleagues to build new skills, develop their careers and reach their potential.
It was also a proud evening for the Women at Lanes Committee. Being shortlisted for Women's Network of the Year is a fantastic achievement and reflects the commitment of the committee members, who continue to build a supportive community that champions women across Lanes.
“To be recognised as Business Champion of the Year (Utility Partner) is truly humbling. This award represents the collective effort of amazing colleagues, mentors and advocates who have supported me along the way. I'm proud of what we've achieved together and even more excited about the impact we can continue to make for people, talent and inclusion across our industry.”
Congratulations to Laura on this well-deserved achievement, and well done to everyone involved in the Women at Lanes community. Recognition like this reflects the commitment of colleagues across Lanes who continue to make a positive difference every day.
