Sapphire Utility Solutions has welcomed colleagues from United Utilities to its Leyland depot for a three-day showcase event, to demonstrate the breadth of expertise available across the business and the wider Lanes Group.
The event gave attendees a hands-on insight into the teams that that support wastewater delivery across the region, and impressive range and volume of equipment they can mobilise.
The main showcase took place over two days, with multiple morning and afternoon sessions welcoming United Utilities colleagues, including new Customer Service Technicians (CSTs), alongside Sapphire operatives and members of the wider supply chain.
Each session began with breakfast butties followed by an overview presentation before visitors toured the dedicated demonstration area. Throughout the depot, operational teams showcased the wide range of specialist services available to United Utilities operational teams.
Displays included CCTV and water jetting, civils, lining, tankering, industrial cleaning, capital delivery, PMMA chamber reinstatement, traffic management, digital technology and specialist training facilities.
Visitors had the opportunity to speak directly with operational teams, explore specialist equipment and gain a greater understanding of how our teams work together to support wastewater delivery on behalf of United Utilities.
The event also provided an opportunity for visitors to meet supply chain partners, who played an important role in showcasing the specialist equipment, products and services that support our wastewater delivery.
